The Audi e-tron GT has been around for some time. It was shown in concept form in 2018 and it’s taken nearly four years for the production model to see the light of day. It’s based on the Porsche Taycan’s J1 production platform and, at the time, it appeared as though it’d be exactly the same car - only with an Audi badge.
But that’s not the case, as we found out when we put the performance-focused RS e-tron GT to the test in Northern Scotland. We won’t spoil our verdict here in the description, but there are plenty of reasons to go Audi’s Tesla Model S rival than the one from Porsche.
