Daihatsu Kōgyō K.K. is a Japanese automobile manufacturer. The company was founded in 1907 as Hatsudōki Seizō K.K. and renamed Daihatsu in 1951. 1967 began a business partnership with Toyota. Toyota has held the majority of the shares since 1998 (51.2 percent). In January 2013, sales of new cars in Europe were stopped.
