> Sportier GTS model added to Taycan line-up
> Taycan now available as Sport Turismo estate too
> GTS a sweet spot between 4S and Turbo Taycans
> On sale now, deliveries in early 2022
> Priced from £104,190 for the Taycan GTS Saloon
The Porsche Taycan GTS, like other GTS models in Porsche's line-up, doesn't get any dramatic exterior changes. There are black accents on the outside, black alloys as standard, plus GTS badging, but that's about your lot.
The bigger news is that Porsche is introducing a new body style to the Taycan range at the same time, which will also be available as a GTS.
It's called the Sport Turismo and takes the estate practicality of the SUV-like Taycan Cross Turismo, but is lower to the ground and thus more agile to drive and sportier in style.
Inside, buying a GTS gets you more of Porsche's Race-Tex material and its brushed aluminium trim pack as standard. But again, that's it before you get busy with the options list.
The GTS's infotainment system is also the same as in the 'standard' Taycan – a digital driver's display and central touchscreen, plus an optional second touchscreen for the passenger too.
The GTS Taycan doesn't have different dimensions to the standard car, so it'll still seat four adults with ease no matter which body style you go for.
The advantage of going for the Sport Turismo is a bigger boot than the saloon. It has the same 405 litres as the Cross Turismo, versus the saloon's 366 litres.
The GTS Taycan, in both its forms, gets the Taycan's larger battery option. That allows a range of up to 312 miles between charges.
With motors on both axles, the GTS produces 590hp and will get from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds. A top speed of 155mph is possible too.
The Taycan GTS gets adjustable air suspension as standard and rear steering, which has been tweaked to feel more responsive. Extremely fast 350kW charging is available too.
The Porsche Taycan GTS is on sale now with deliveries expected early in 2022.
It will cost from £104,190 for the saloon and £104,990 for the new Sport Turismo.
