2022 Dacia Duster design

The Dacia Duster has been given an updated look. Its front end has been brought into line with the new Sandero and Sandero Stepway, including a new 3D grille and Y-shaped LED daytime running lights.

There are also new body-coloured front and rear bumpers, a new rear light design and new tailgate trim with Duster badging.

The new Duster is also now more aerodynamic, thanks to a new spoiler design plus new alloy wheels, which reduce CO2 emissions by up to 5.8g/km. New more efficient tyres across the range also help.

2022 Dacia Duster interior and infotainment

Inside the Duster gets an equally comprehensive overhaul. Inside you'll find new upholstery, new headrests and a new high-set centre console with retracting armrest.

Underneath this armrest, you'll now find a 1.1-litre cubby, plus USB sockets for the rear passengers on the back of the console on certain models.

There's also brand new infotainment for the Duster this time around. The entry-level model gets a basic monochrome system with DAB radio and Bluetooth, but above that are two 8-inch touchscreen systems, one without a built-in sat-nav and one with, but both with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

2022 Dacia Duster practicality and boot space

The Dacia Duster's internal dimensions haven't changed, so it remains a five-seat SUV that'll seat four adults in comfort, or five as long as the rear passengers don't mind putting up with being squeezed in.

Of course, kids across the back is fine, plus the outside rear seats have Isofix points for child seats.

The Duster's boot is pretty impressive given its price, too. At 475 litres, it outdoes SUVs costing thousands more, plus plenty of practical family hatchbacks too.

2022 Dacia Duster engine

The Dacia Duster comes with the choice of petrol, diesel or Bi-Fuel engine options.

The petrols come in 90hp, 130hp and 150hp power outputs, while the diesel comes in 115hp form only. There's also a Bi-Fuel model that runs on petrol or LPG which produces 100hp and now has a larger fuel tank for an improved range.

The petrols are all front-wheel-drive, while the 90 and 130hp versions come with a six-speed manual and the 150hp gets a new dual-clutch automatic.

The Bi-Fuel and diesel Dusters and six-speed manual only and only the diesel models get the option of all-wheel drive.

2022 Dacia Duster prices and on-sale date

The Dacia Duster is on sale now from £13,995, which gets you the entry-level Essential model with two-wheel drive and a manual gearbox.

Even the most expensive Prestige Duster is just £16,695, which is a massive amount of car and equipment for the money.

First deliveries are expected to happen in September 2021.
